Chair vacancy for West Midlands region

AUDE have a vacancy for chair of the west midlands region and we are seeking a director or deputy director of estates to step forward to take up the role. With full support from the AUDE office, this is a unique opportunity to lead the HE estates agenda both regionally and nationally, raise your own profile, that of your institution and add to your own personal development.

The role has a term of three years with an option of a further three years if re-elected.

Duties include:

  • To facilitate the meeting of AUDE members within your region at regular intervals
  • To plan the meetings and chair them
  • To represent your region on the AUDE executive (four meetings per year) and produce a written report on your regional work
  • Feedback to your region discussions held at the executive meetings
  • To promote AUDE and the associations overriding objective to provide strategic support and innovation to those involved in estates and facilities management within higher education.

AUDE support

  • A £2000 regional learning and development budget to help the group gain access to the very best and cutting-edge information
  • Personal support from AUDE’s executive director 
  • Practical support sourcing meeting venues, speakers, member liaison and communications

The chair has autonomy of their region and is encouraged to conduct regional events in a way that meets the needs of his or her members and we actively encourage the inclusion of deputies at these meetings as well as directors. Please see the AUDE constitution for the full remit.
