Southern Universities Purchasing Consortium (SUPC) is the largest of the six regional higher education purchasing consortia that operate throughout the UK.
Sustainable Procurement Centre of Excellence for Higher Education (SPCE). New project which intends to make demonstrable changes to the way HEIs embed sustainable procurement into their standard procedures, practices and policies. The centre will build capacity in sustainable procurement, develop capability in influencing supply chains, address process issues; develop measurement and monitoring tools and communicate a full understanding of CO2 emissions, and other environmental impacts, in the specification, production, delivery, utilisation and disposal of goods and services, purchased by the HE Sector. Funding has been provided over a 4 year period by the Higher Education Funding Council for England. The AUDE representative on this group is Sue Holmes (Leeds Met).
