Higher Education Estates Association Forum
Higher Education Estates Association Forum (HEEAF):
First convened in February 2004, the Higher Education Estates Assocation Forum consists of the following organisations having a remit associated with Estates and Facilities Management in higher education:
Association of University Chief Security Officers (AUCSO)
Association of University Directors of Estates (AUDE)
Association of University Engineers (AUE)
Association of University Procurement Officers (AUPO)
Association for Student Residential Accommodation (ASRA)
British Association of Cleaning in HE (BACHE)
College and University Business Officers (CUBO)
Environmental Association for Universities and Colleges (EAUC)
Higher Education Business Continuity Officers (HEBCoN)
Standing Conference for Heads of Media Services (SCHOMS)
Universities Safety and Health Association (USHA)
The group meets twice a year. Constituent organisations nominate up to two members to attend, normally the Chairperson, plus one other. HEEAF was set up for the following purposes:
- to explore the potential advantages of related groups co-ordinating their activities to achieve maximum effect
- to increase efficiency
- to pool effort on issues affecting more than one group
- to promote better communication between sector Associations with strategic remit
- to facilitate upward dissemination of issues of concern
- to improve profile and image for all the groups
- to promote co-operation to meet the major challenges facing the sector.
