Description
Dennis Sciama Building comprises staff and student catering, general teaching space and facilities for the Institute of Cosmology and Gravitation, arranged over four floors with plant space on the fifth floor, together with an extensive landscaping scheme. The elevations are a mixture of white render, brickwork and curtain walling to correspond with the variety of nearby architectural styles. Complex enabling works were undertaken prior to the commencement of the main build. The building represents Phase 1 of a five phase masterplan to redevelop the north campus.
