Scott has been the head of space management and timetabling at the University of Warwick for over six years. He is also secretary to the senior committee with responsibility for space and capital development planning and chairs the teaching and learning spaces development group which holds the budget for investment in teaching rooms. His strengths are strategic planning supported by forecasting, and strong analytical skills. Prior to joining Warwick, Scott was with the RSPCA for 11 years where he supported their business planning processes and lead several change programmes.
Helen has been working as an architect, urban designer, community builder, workplace consultant, briefing specialist and change manager for over 20 years. She has grappled with the thorny issue of shared working environments across government, the commercial sector and more recently with universities since 2006.
Aside from recent maternity leave, Helen has been head of strategic space at the University of Exeter since 2012 and has been working with AUDE to develop their approach to space management for several years. During the first year of the pandemic, Hele actions as project manager for the university ‘restart’ programme and chaired a series of popular national sessions for AUDE on the constantly changing considerations around space.
Designing spaces to support the evolving pedagogical and technological changes in learning environments has been a key theme over recent years through continuous dialogue with the academic community.
