This inaugural event includes keynote speakers, presentations, and workshops from leading figures with a vision for equality, diversity and inclusion.

The theme of the conference is Valuing Difference, Inspiring Change. It reflects the University’s desire to bring together practitioners, academics, business leaders, policy makers, campaigners and the community to address the continuing challenges and issues in achieving equality and inclusion success.

Professor Sir Chris Husbands, the University’s Vice-Chancellor will open the conference and a line-up of speakers will offer different opinions on the wide ranging issues we face and offer inspirational direction for change.

We’ll take a practical view, building the evidence base for equality, using case studies, personal experiences, research and facilitated debate in order to surface issues and generate practical solutions to facilitate change. Our aim is for this conference to be stimulating and spur everyone to reflect on their practice and actions in making a positive difference to the equality, diversity and inclusion agenda.

So if you’re involved in equality, diversity and inclusion in any way please come and join in the discussion and debate. We are looking for people to actively engage in the conference as we aim to offer a fresh perspectives, creative ideas, personal stories and thought-provoking views in a safe and inspiring environment.
