23 March 2020 Corinne Merriman, Events Manager
I am writing with an update on the 2020 AUDE Summer School due to take place at the University of Birmingham on 22nd - 25th June, in the light of the ongoing Coronavirus health emergency.
Similiar to the AUDE Annual Conference, the AUDE Executive and AUDE team have been monitoring the Coronavirus situation since the initial outbreak. Clearly the incidence of infection has increased dramatically in recent days and whilst AUDE’s Summer School is an invaluable source of learning and knowledge sharing for our members, the health and well-being of all attendees is the main priority to AUDE. Therefore, as a precautionary measure, the AUDE Executive has taken the decision to POSTPONE and no longer run the residential on 22nd - 25th June.
We are pleased to announce that the AUDE Summer School residential will now take place on 21st – 24th June 2021 at the University of Birmingham. We have had a fantastic response and support from all of AUDE’s stakeholders who are also facing uncertain times, and we want to work together to deliver the same event at a different time. We are open for bookings so please do encourage colleagues to sign up to the residential.
Thank you so much for your continued support and engagement with AUDE at this difficult time, we hope to see you all soon!
With kind regards
Corinne Merriman
AUDE Events Manager
