Data, data, everywhere

03 December 2019      Martin Higgs, Communications Officer

Following the Digital Campus event of 30 October that AUDE co-hosted together with Willmott Dixon and the University of Birmingham, we have recently published some member notes – Data, data, everywhere - as a reminder for those of you who were able to join us on the day, or as a way of getting some of the flavour of an interesting day for those of you who were unable to join us.

As was obvious on the day, most of us are at the early stages of digital transformation journeys, and with much thinking ahead of us. But there are clear gains to be made – in terms of space and energy efficiency, in terms of student experience, and in terms of capital cost avoidance. More than anything, on the day we were reminded that the challenge of digital transformation is a people and cultural challenge. Estates and IT may well lead on this kind of project, but staff and student response is important in achieving success. Who are the cultural arbiters in your institution, and how can you get them onside from day one?

Our member notes are now published online. Thankyou to all involved on a thought-provoking day – delegates, speakers and of course colleagues from Willmott Dixon and the University of Birmingham.
