23 June 2020 Corinne Merriman, Events Manager
Join Rachel Hewitt, HEPI and Jonathan Neves, Advance HE as they discuss their results and findings from their recent 2020 Student Academic Experience Survey Report. They will also be sharing insights from their latest polling of students’ view on the impact of COVID-19 on their HE experiences.
The power of the annual Student Academic Experience Survey lies in its authority and credibility as a channel for the student voice, Rachel and Jonathan will take delegates through the report and highlight key findings from this report which is now in its fourteenth year. The continuity of many of the questions asked over this period provides an opportunity to consider how the student experience has changed or, in many cases, stayed the same. As well as year-on-year changes, this year becomes particularly important, given the current global pandemic which means we are facing greater challenges than in any previous iteration of the survey.
The survey has highlighting fifteen areas of importance to students that HEI's and Government should consider as we move through and beyond this crisis including; value for money, tuition fees, student wellbeing, timetabling, future planning and educational technology. For the transformation to the ‘new normal’ to be effective, the student voice must be heard so that they have a clear role in shaping and informing decision making.
This interactive webinar will be an hour long, Rachel and Jonathan will speak for approximately 45 - 50 minutes then we will open up the discussion to the webinar delegates, so please do come prepared with any questions you would like to ask.
