02 January 2018 Cheryl Pick, Projects and Engagement Manager
Nominees should be a senior member of staff from a subscribing institution of the association. A senior member includes a director of estates, deputy director or direct report to the director (as nominated by the director of estates). They do not have to be currently serving on the Executive Committee. For further information about the role, please contact jane@aude.ac.uk.
Nominations (written or emailed) must be received by the AUDE Secretary no later than 12 noon on Thursday 15 March 2018, please see contact details below. Each nomination needs to be supported by two proposers, both of whom need to be AUDE members. In the event of more than one nomination being received, an election will take place in advance of the Annual General Meeting.
The AUDE Senior Executive officer group comprises the Chair, Chair Elect, Past Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. There is an automatic succession from Chair Elect (one-year term) to Chair (one-year term) and then Previous Chair (also one year term). The individual appointed as Chair Elect in April 2018 will therefore become Chair of the association at the AGM in 2019.
At the 2018 AGM Mike Clark, AUDE's current chair, will stand down where Keith Lilley will succeed him, leaving the vacancy for the Chair Elect. A list of current members of the AUDE Executive committee is available.
Details of the election process can be found in the Association’s Constitution. Please note that the constitution allows for the introduction of an online voting procedure, which we will be implementing this year if required. Should an election be necessary I will send out further details, but in essence, it will be conducted electronically prior to the conference, with the successful candidate being announced at the AGM.
