Learning-Space Aligner Tool – A hands-on workshop to aid alignment between learning and space
Date: 3rd November 2021
Time: 10.00am – 12.00pm
Online via Zoom - AUDE members only
AUDE members are invited to a workshop to trial a recently developed ‘Learning-Space Aligner’ tool developed by Dr Hiral Patel, Lecturer at Cardiff University. The tool is developed as part of the ESRC Impact Accelerator project, which involved the launch of an academia-practice network, a podcast series and initiating a case-study database. These could be found at https://futurelearningenvironments.org/. The toolkit was piloted as part of this project (see case study here) and Dr Patel is working with AUDE and other HE sector stakeholders to further examine strategies and processes to align learning activities and learning spaces.
Who can attend?
The session intends to give a hands-on experience of the Learning-Space Aligner tool. Hence, we invite a pair/a team comprising of Directors of Estates (or equivalent) alongside relevant academic colleagues. It is highly recommended to have representation from both estates and academic sides.
Each pair/team will bring a project that they want to explore during the workshop. The project could be a new build, a refurbishment project, a space strategy or developing new organisational practices for aligning learning and space.
The spaces in this session are limited to five higher education institutions and will be allocated on a first come - first serve basis.
How should I prepare?
