AUDE will arrange and subsidise a delegate dinner on the evening of 9th Ocotber at a local restuarant, numbers will be limited and on a first come, first serve basis. Please indicate if you require dinner on the booking. Delegates will need to arrange and book their own accommodation if required.
About the event
This conference launches the output of a three-year project by the EDU, responding to AUDE's request for insights on optimizing higher education estates.
Forged from multi-disciplinary collaboration Make Architects, Elliott Wood, Max Fordham, Gustafson
Porter + Bowman, and ZZA Responsive User Environments, the EDU’s Strategic Guide is distinct in its
comprehensive and deep coverage of challenges facing HE institutions:
- The climate crisis and net-zero carbon emissions
- The changing culture of learning and student living
- Adapting existing buildings and external spaces for enhanced value, utility
The conference is an opportunity to :
- Share the guide’s insights
- Present a holistic approach and methodologies to evaluate the adaptive capabilities of
existing infrastructure - Foster dialogue on estates’ colleagues journey to providing enhanced campus environments
with leaner resource use - Offer a pathway for informed decision-making in brief development and project conception
