This one-day event delivered by AUDE and BUFDG will give a short, sharp and impactful day of leadership development. The day targets the skills we have identified as core for successful leaders in this constant changing environment; the skills that will make future leaders in Higher Education stand out from the crowd and drive innovation in the HE sector. Using external leadership experts (Anatta) with insights from some of our own inspiring leaders within HE, we bring the best from both worlds into this new event format.

The day will involve three powerful leadership ‘espresso’ sessions. In each 90-minute espresso, we will share the core aspects of three leadership skills giving you strong insight to each. The day will also include a panel and debate session on leadership in higher education with Dr Ghazwa Alwani-Starr, Pro Vice-Chancellor Strategy, Planning and Partnerships; and Director of Property and Facilities Management, University of London and Eran Kochlany, Interim CFO, Middlesex University
You can hear effective strategies and leadership advice for driving change in higher Education. Have your questions ready!
Often, one of the underestimated skills in leadership is the ability to build and maintain networks. This event will allow you to network with like-minded individuals across the sector and with those delivering the day. You will have the opportunity to share contacts (if you wish) and to start to or increase your personal network. A personal network can support personal resilience, strategic thinking and innovation.
Who should attend?
Aspiring leaders within Estates and Finance. You may be a deputy, head of function or similar. The key is that your position does or will require you to lead with impact and to create change imminently. We want attendees to be able to action the leading straight away to gain the most ‘return on investment’ for the individual and the organisation.
Why have AUDE and BUFDG created this leadership day?
We have identified a need for this type of event, bringing the best of leadership development from both within and outside of Higher Education at an affordable price tag. We have seen the huge value to be gained through creating networks and bringing people together to share ideas and experiences. Leading on from the success of our first event of this nature in May, we are excited to share another event with our members.
