Overview:
This session is designed to support professionals across the Higher Education (HE) sector in understanding and navigating the EMR (Estates Management Record) process. A must attend event for any HE professional involved in the EMR return or wishing to know more about the process. This session is specifically developed for AUDE members and delivered by the EMR data analyst and senior estates manager from the sector. The convenient timing of this live event will assist all those looking to prepare for January 2026 when the next HESA collection round opens for the 24/25 academic year.

Introduction to EMR: A general overview of the EMR framework and its role within the HE sector.
Resource Signposting: Guidance on existing training materials and resources, including how to access and apply them effectively.
Data Discovery: Practical advice on locating the data required for completing the EMR return.
Data Breakdown: An overview of key data sets and elements involved in the submission.
Consistency Matters: Emphasis on maintaining consistency in data and approach throughout the submission process.
Avoiding Pitfalls: Common mistakes and expert guidance on how to avoid them.
Session 2 Preparation: Instructions for completing the Session 2 questionnaire, including submission timelines.
