Title: The King’s College London EDI Maturity Model
Time: 11.00 - 12.00
Date: 20 October 2026
Part of AUDE's Aspects of EDI webinar series
Synopsis:
Moving EDI beyond good intentions and into consistent, measurable action is one of the core challenges facing our sector. This webinar introduces the approach taken by King's College London Estates & Facilities. Pavan Nagra, King's E&F Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Manager, will share how she developed and implemented a bespoke EDI maturity assessment, a tool tailored to the priorities and operational realities of an estates context, that enables teams to evaluate where they currently are across a range of inclusion criteria, identify gaps, and set targeted, strategic actions to improve. The session will cover the rationale for using a maturity model in an estates setting, how the framework was designed and scored, and how it was applied across King's E&F leadership team. Attendees will gain insight into how the model translates EDI principles into operational language that resonates with estates professionals, and how outputs can be used to drive accountability and embed inclusion into day-to-day practice. This session is relevant to AUDE members at any stage of their EDI journey, whether you’re interested in getting started, you are taking first steps towards structured inclusion work or looking to strengthen and evidence progress already underway.
