The AUDE Big Conversation 2020

The fourth AUDE Big Conversation event took place on 7th February 2020 at the University of Hull. The event welcome over 130 AUDE members, AUDE business partners and corporate attendees.

Focusing on two main themes - the power of the estate on student experience and can we achieve net zero carbon in our estates provided an open forum and opportunities for discussions and exchanges for the delegates attending to consider and reflect on.

The event allowed for debate and idea sharing from estates teams across the country, with input from our outstanding plenary speakers Dr Paul Greatrix, Registrar, University of Nottingham, and Jonathon Porritt, Founder Director, Forum for the Future (Non-Executive Director of Willmott Dixon). Following from the two plenaries delegates heard from our fantastic panelists; Lucy Jeynes, Jenny Shaw, Professor Alexi Marmot, Professor Zoe Robinson, Dr Emma Fieldhouse, Michelle Brown and Karl Limbert. The panelist were expertly summarised and chaired by Julian Robinson and Andrew Nolan. A special mention of thanks must go out to Isobel Hall and Elizabeth Haughton our amazing student speakers - a first for AUDE and I am sure not the last time we hear a student voice at our events. Thank you to all our speakers for providing such a thought provoking day.
