Each December, AUDE sets out its draft budget for the next financial year which runs Aug-July along with an updated rolling three-year budget too. Within this there is a limited strategic project budget which members can apply to specific pieces of work they believe will benefit the association and sector.
Members should complete a short online application form setting out their rationale, the funds they are looking for and over what timeframe they intend to deliver against (up to three years). The bid should also show how it links with AUDE’s strategic objectives or show why it should be considered even though it’s e.g. an emerging issue (for example, RAAC, Martyn’s Law, etc).
Bidders are invited to present their idea to a select group of the AUDE executive in November via a team’s call, ideally with their executive sponsor. The presentation and bid will be submitted to the AUDE executive committee meeting in December for consideration. Outcomes will be issued during January. Each bid should be sponsored by a member of the Exec who is able to answer questions at the AUDE December executive committee meeting.
This process does not prevent requests for funds at other times, especially if there is an emerging issue, the matter is urgent and/or there is an opportunity to accept third party funding.
Please note, the Exec reserves the right to defer, reduce or cancel any approved project budget in order to manage its budgetary responsibilities and/or changing priorities.
