Entry Process (AUDE Members)

In order to submit your entry for one of the six award categories, you will need to complete the awards application form. Please note only one application per category is permitted.

  • Only staff employed by AUDE member organisations are eligible to participate in these awards as nominees or nominators. AUDE members are the higher education institutions of the UK.
  • Each nomination must be supported by the university director of estates (or equivalent).
  • Each award category is judged on predefined criteria, based on a points system. The judging criteria can be viewed on this page.
  • The AUDE Chair’s Long Term Contribution and AUDE Summer School Award are not open for submissions.

  • In order to submit your entry for one of the six award categories, you will need to complete the awards application form. A copy of the application form is available to download below.
  • Institutions may submit one application only per category. However, we welcome submissions from the same institution to multiple categories. A separate form must be completed for each please ensure your submissions are distinctive and unrelated.  

You will be required to complete the following five sections on the application form:

  1. Your details
  2. Director endorsement
  3. Award webinar commitment
  4. Award nomination category
  5. Award nomination details

For section 5 'Award nomination details', please only fill out the corresponding section for your award, as the questions vary per award.

Please pay special attention to any word counts listed next to questions and ensure these are not exceeded.

Institutions may submit one application only per category. However, we welcome submissions from the same institution to multiple categories. A separate form must be completed for each please ensure your submissions are distinctive and unrelated. 

We’ll ask for some information about you and your organisation, as well as questions on the individual, team, function, or initiative you are nominating. We encourage our entrants to use their creative flair and provide supporting evidence where applicable, such as accreditation by a professional body, documents, or images as attachments with your application. 

For categories A-E, providing supporting evidence isn’t mandatory and should only be used where applicable to support the information included in your application. 

For category F, this is mandatory and further details of what to include as supporting documents can be found on the application form or via te Award Categories & Judging Criteria webpage.

After you have finished working on your application and are ready to submit your entry for review, please email a copy of the completed application form along with any relevant attachments, to info@aude.ac.uk.

You will receive an email from the AUDE team in acknowledgment of your application.

We will be in touch directly should we require any amendments to be made or for any direct queries.

Key dates

  • Entries must be submitted by midnight on Monday 12 January 2026, to info@aude.ac.uk.
  • Only one application per category is permitted.
  • The judges will meet in February 2026 to confirm the winners.
    Those shortlisted for an award will be notified mid-February 2026 to book and attend the AUDE Awards 2026. Please note the shortlisted entrants for The AUDE & University Design Forum Small Scale High Impact Design Award will be notified by early March 2026, due to site visits as part of the judging process.
  • The judging panels will be announced shortly.
