FAQs

How much does it cost to enter the awards?

Nothing - entry is free. 


What period do these awards relate to?

Except for the long-term contribution award - team achievements, projects, initiatives and endeavours should be recent. Core achievements will have taken place during the preceding two years, with significant deliverables over the past year.

Can we enter more than one category?

You may enter as many categories as you wish, but you must complete a separate submission for each category, with each submission being distinctive and unrelated

 

Can we enter more than one project/team in a single category?

Yes. If potential entries are distinctive and unrelated, please feel free to submit both.

  

Can we nominate someone who is no longer employed by the institution for the AUDE chair's long-term contribution award i.e. a member who has served for a long time but has recently retired?

Yes. 
 

Who can enter?

The awards are open to all AUDE UK higher education member institutions. If you are entering on behalf of an institution other than your own, please make sure they are happy for you to do so.

 

Are collaborative entries accepted?

Yes (see below).

 

Institutions working together

If your entry relates to an initiative or project carried out in collaboration with another institution or institutions, the submission should come from the lead institution. Any shortlisting will be in the name of that institution. If you are successful we will give credit to partner institutions at the awards ceremony where appropriate. If there is no lead institution, to avoid multiple entries for the same project please agree who will make the submission on behalf of the group.

 

Institutions working with public or private partners

You may enter a project which has been undertaken in collaboration with an external public or private partner, but the award will be given to the winning higher education institution only. If the project is successful we will give credit to partners at the awards ceremony where appropriate.

 

When is the closing date for entries?

Midnight on Friday 14th December 2018. 

 

How do I enter?

You can enter The AUDE Awards 2019 online.

 

When will I find out if we have been shortlisted?

All entrants will be contacted the week commencing 25th February 2019 regarding shortlisting.

 

How are the entries judged?

What are the judging criteria?

These are available on the website. Please click here.

 

Is providing a video or images a requirement of entry or would this count as optional supporting evidence?

Video or images are optional and act as supporting material. They aren’t mandatory and should not preclude you from making an entry if they aren’t available.

 

Is there any advantage to those who submit videos or images alongside written evidence?

Having visual footage for your submission is desirable as it will help us to ensure that if successful, your achievements are seen and recognised across the sector. 

Not submitting a video will not cause points deduction, but in terms of supporting evidence might help make a stronger case. 

 

When will the winners be announced?

The announcement of the winners will be made at the AUDE annual conference gala dinner at Lancaster University on Tuesday 16 April 2019.

 

Who can attend the awards presentation?

The awards presentation is open to any AUDE member to attend, colleagues of members and individuals involved in submitting an award although numbers will be limited. Tickets will be available at cost. AUDE will not be responsible for paying for travel to and from Lancaster or accommodation. The member's dinner comprises a drinks reception, multiple course dinner with wines, after dinner speaker and the opportunity to meet and network with dinner guests.

 

Can tickets to the awards gala dinner be purchased?

Yes. Tickets will be available to purchase online for members or colleagues of members wishing to attend the awards presentation. If you are attending the full annual conference you do not need to purchase an additional ticket to the awards gala dinner as this is included in the conference package. Tickets will be available to buy online in December 2018. Numbers are limited.
