The University of Strathclyde campus is in the heart of Glasgow city centre, beside Merchant City.
Big Conversation 2026 will happen in The Barony. Both the welcome drinks and dinner reception on Tuesday 10 November and the conference day on Wednesday 11 November will take place in this building.
There will be two types of tickets available for Big Conversation 2026; one including accommodation and one without. For tickets including accommodation, delegates will be staying at the AC Marriott, Glasgow. Further information on the delegate hotel and other accommodation options can be found below.

Delegates who choose to book the conference ticket including accommodation will be staying at the AC Marriott Hotel, Glasgow. Please note that there are two conference ticket types - one which includes accommodation and one which does not include accommodation. If you prefer to make your own arrangements, other nearby hotels to The Barony are the Moxy Glasgow Merchant City (5 minute walk to The Barony) and the Glasgow City Centre (George Square) Premier Inn (9 minute walk to The Barony).
Travel is the biggest contributor to the event’s carbon footprint, and we encourage all guests to travel via public transport if possible or to travel in groups in taxis or private cars. Finding your way to the event is easy; the venue is accessible via road and rail.

Glasgow Airport is approx. a 30 minute drive to the University of Strathclyde.
There are over 700 bike parking spaces on the University campus. See the University map to view cycle hubs and parking on campus and the bike parking page for information on getting access to the bike-hubs.

The nearest car park options to the conference venue are pay-and-display options at Cathedral Car Park (Glasgow City Council) located a 4 minute walk to The Barony, and Euro Car Parks (High Street/Blackfriars Road) located approx. a 7 minutes walk to The Barony. These car parks are not affiliated with the university so vehicles would be left at owner's own risk.
Due to being a city centre campus, car parking is very limited.
Access to car parks on campus is restricted to permit holders only. Car parks are patrolled by Security Services. Any vehicle found without a permit may receive a Parking Warning Notice. Car park users who are found to be persistently not adhering to the rules will be prevented from accessing the car parks.

Glasgow City Council, Duke Street:
Glasgow City Council's Duke Street car park is situated at the corner of High Street and Duke Street. They currently have a flat rate of £6 per day, charged automatically at the pay machine. This is a multistorey car park.
Euro Car Parks, High Street:
Euro Car Parks on High Street / Blackfriars Road offer a daily parking option for £4 and one-off monthly passes for £45 using the location code 710658 within their own app, further information can be found at the Euro Car Parks web site.
This is an open air car park with lighting but currently there is no CCTV coverage.
